Weather Radio
While any radio can tune in to local AM weather stations, a NOAA radio is specially tuned to have quick "touch of the button" reception of quality weather information. Some NOAA radios, like the one pictured below, have LCD displays of weather imaging in your area. They are more expensive than a standard hand-held radio, but well worth it if you want to be prepared for every weather contingency.
